Sony Prepares PlayStation Portable, Final 2023 Release?

Telset.id, Jakarta – Sony wants to revive the PlayStation Portable or PSP device. The Japanese company plans to launch a handheld console device at the end of 2023.
Currently the device is still in the development stage, so there is no official name yet. Sony calls this portable console the name Project Q. Quoted Telset from Gizmochina on Saturday (27/05/2023), the official announcement of Sony PlayStation Project Q was made during this week’s PlayStation Showcase event.
Sony said it will launch a special device that will allow users to do so streaming games anything from their PS5 console using Remote Play over Wi-Fi.

The screen measures 8 inches HD resolution, with PlayStation DualSense wireless controller buttons on the right and left of the screen. Sony claims that Project Q is capable of running games with a maximum resolution of 1080p and 60fps.
All games that can be played on the Sony PlayStation Project Q must be installed on the PlayStation 5 console first. Therefore, this device cannot operate independently and gamers must also have a PlayStation.
The Sony Project Q handheld device will hit the market later this year. The appearance of Project Q indirectly revived the PSP and PS Vita era. Both had become handheld gaming devices favorite in the early 2000s.
The difference is that Project Q doesn’t play the game directly native immediately installed, but stream from other devices such as Razer Edge and Steam Deck.
Apart from that, Sony Project Q will also enliven the portable gaming console market, following Asus which recently released the ROG Ally.
