Moonton Indonesia Releases ONIC and EVOS Legends to MSC 2023

Telset.id, Jakarta – Mobile Legends: Bang Bang South East Asia Championship or MSC 2023 will be held again on 10-13 June 2023 and 15-18 June 2023 in Cambodia. Moonton Indonesia sent ONIC Esports and EVOS Legends to the event.

MSC 2023 is expected to be a turning point for the Indonesian team in bringing the country’s esports name back to number one, after failing in recent years.

MSC 2023 is a tournament that brings together the best MLBB teams from Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, Myanmar, Cambodia, Singapore and Vietnam to become the best team in Southeast Asia.

However, as time goes by, MLBB esports is growing all over the world and MSC is no longer only for teams in Southeast Asia. Other regions such as North America, Latin America, Europe, and Brazil will participate in MSC 2023.

Currently, Indonesia is hungry for the MLBB title, after the last time the Indonesian team won the international MLBB championship four years ago, and failed to win gold at the 32nd SEA Games.

Therefore, Moonton Indonesia took the initiative to organize the release of Indonesian team representatives, ONIC Esports and EVOS Legends to MSC 2023 which is expected to build the spirit of professionals player (proplayer), and also for the sake of fostering the support of all MLBB Esports fans in Indonesia.

“This is not about the team, but how can we bring Indonesia’s name back to the top of the international esports map, especially MLBB,” said Azwin Nugraha, Public Relations & Communications Manager for Moonton Indonesia.

On the same occasion, ONIC Esports CEO & Co-founder Justin Widjaja, the team that became Raja Galaxy MPL Indonesia Season 11, said that the MSC is a tournament where teams and players prove themselves, and is an event that can foster the nationalism of MLBB connoisseurs in Indonesia. Water.

“Those who compete in MSC, not only can make their team, friends and family proud. They bring and intend to make Indonesia proud in the international esports scene,” said Justin.

Meanwhile, Ita Widjaja as Tazz’s mother is also happy that her son can play at MSC 2023. For the mother, this is an achievement that not everyone can achieve.

“I am proud because before my son (Tazz) was nobody, playing Mobile Legends which was just a hobby in his room now he can be seen and watched by everyone. I also didn’t think that my hobby would make me and my friends proud, and even represent Indonesia,” said Tazz’s mother.

Previously, Tazz and EVOS Esports represented the MLBB Indonesia team at the International Esports Federation (IESF) World Championship in December last year.

The Indonesian team managed to become world champions after eliminating their arch-rival, the Philippines, in the grand final with a score of 3-0 in the Best of Five (BO5) match.

CEO & Co-founder of EVOS Esports Hartman Harris hopes that his team can give their best and restore Indonesia’s glory.

“There are many players who started their career from scratch, Tazz is one of them. Starting from playing in the warkop tournament, having become a jockey, finally channeling his talents in the MDL, being promoted to the MPL, and finally becoming the world champion is not an achievement that can be underestimated,” he said.

“I hope Tazz and friends can give their best at MSC 2023 and can be an example and proof that nothing is impossible in this world if we are willing to try,” added Hartman.

MSC 2023 will be held on June 10-13 for the group phase and will continue with the knockout phase on June 15-18. Based on the group draw results, EVOS Legends is in group hell because they met Fenix ​​Esports from Myanmar, and will also meet RSG Slate from Singapore in group B.

On the other hand, ONIC is in Group C and is competing with two other teams from North America, namely Outplay and Burn X Flash from Cambodia. These two Indonesian teams must fight for tickets to go to the next round and not be eliminated in the MSC 2023 group phase. [HBS]
